Rich A. from NY sent us this great story on his "barn find":
It was listed on Craig's List as "Willys Universal Tractor " I wasn't even going to click on it ! As soon as I did my jaw dropped. Thought to myself I know what this is......... So after a few emails and a phone call it was off to Rochester NY. History you ask ........yep ! I have notarized dmv records from 1965 till 1993 on who owned it till present day , also came with the original manuals, warranty card, and repair manual. Jeep was never registered ,always used on a farm as a tractor. Just the paper work he gave me was astounding ! I couldn't believe it . A surviving farm jeep with documentation on where its been. and original manuals. I was floored! I get it home ,take it off the trailer and immediately start checking things over. I find the oil is super clean , the dipstick tube is mint inside, a battery and gas .......... a sniff of carb spray, IT RUNS! I throw a blanket on the coil ridden seat, slap it in gear and I'm off tooling around my yard! No brakes but no big deal. I move the 3pt hitch handle, hitch goes up and down. I'm thinking SWEET! I have the PTO lever soaking in oil, that's a little frozen with rust. Yes another resto project for me. So now I am looking for any info on this rare 65 willys farm jeep . With all the options on this I assume it was special ordered at the dealer or factory, just too many clean welds, heavy spring pack, plow, pto, 3pt hitch, warn overdrive, electro hyd plow pump, mico lock, throttle lock ,and whatever else I haven't found yet . That's about the story in a nut shell .
